    Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Mortgage Processor.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviewing incoming documents to assure complete, accurate information and updating information on computer system. Requesting and verifying accuracy of incoming data and coordinating any problems/discrepencies with borrowers and loan originators. Assembling and analyzing borrower data and computing ratios for submission to loan underwriters. Preparing and sending commitment letters and adverse action notices. 
    • Ordering credit reports, appraisals, surverys, and title commitments by faxing appropriate order forms to vendors. Preparing verification forms for income, deposits and rent for mail, fax or telephone as requested. 
    • Reviewing closing documents and audits closed loans, including ELOCs. Updating computer system based on loan decisions made by underwriters. Preparing commitment letters or adverse action letters as needed. 
    • Interacting with members to answer questions on loan qualification process, setting appointments with loan officers, and promoting all services available at the company. 
    • Receiving and following up on outstanding documentation. Upon receipt of sufficient information making a loan decision, assembles, updates and analyzes data in a timely manner for loan underwriter review. 
    • Completing instruction forms for closing and completing data entry for loan; reviewing closing documents prepared by title office and verifying final loan terms. 
    • Paying property taxes on all escrow accounts. 

    Qualifications

    • Experience with different types of mortgage loans, escrow and ARM requirements. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
