Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Human Resources department at our corporate office as a Human Resources Intern for the winter semester. 

 

Location – Corporate, Glenwood Hills – 5540 Glenwood Hills Parkway SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Intern with LMCU, your responsibilities will vary based on the area in HR to which you are placed. Responsibilities of a Human Resource Intern could inlude the following:

 

  • Assisting with all aspects of recruiting (posting jobs, reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling and participating in on-site interviews, etc.)
  • Attending weekly HR department meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining LMCU employee files.
  • Generating reports and then presenting keys finding with the HR team.
  • Assisting with reporting monthly analytics data.
  • Maintaining reports on employee benefits and related information.
  • Providing assistance with special projects as needed.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Enjoys working independently, but likes being apart of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
  • 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • College student at junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Economics, Mathematics or a related business field. A strong desire to pursue a career in the Human Resources field is preferred.
