Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and skilled SQL Server Reporting Services Developer to join their Business Intelligence Analyst team. Primarily, this individual would assist in migrating our Mortgage reports from Crystal to SSRS. During this transition, we will be creating a reporting structure that will allow the end users the ability to generate their reports with information they need.

Responsibilities

  • Construct reports and use of related SQL tools consistent with the objective of stated reporting or data analysis goals
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering
  • Create test cases for ensuring reports meet stated business objectives. Perform testing on reports before moving into a production environment.
  • Works continually on improving performance of queries and reports using industry standard methodologies for SQL generation and data analysis.
  • Maintain up to date understanding of SQL and SSRS technology
  • Recommend new reporting and data analysis strategies and procedure improvements
  • Experience with Crystal Report development preferred
  • Experience with SSIS/DTS packages preferred
  • Experience with SSAS preferred

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with SQL Server and other databases
  • Experience with SSRS report distribution via portal or subscription
  • Report development experience must include sub reports, writing complex formulas, and conditional formatting
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or equivalent methodology
  • Hands on experience with large-scale data load, unload, backup and recovery procedures
  • Strong SQL skills such as ability to build accurate and efficient data sets, stored procedures and working with non-Microsoft data sources
