Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Community Relations department at our corporate office as a Community Relations Intern for the winter months.

 

Location – Corporate, Glenwood Hills – 5540 Glenwood Hills Parkway SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512

Responsibilities

Over the winter months the Community Relations department handles a variety of tasks. As a intern in Community Relations responsibilities of an intern could include the following:

 

  • Assisting with community events such as golf events, multiple expos, galas and attending LMCU branch/retail events.
  • Assisting with the research on different projects and events.
  • Assisting with communication for internal staff at LMCU.
  • Assisting in the coordination of volunteer events.
  • Networking on behalf of LMCU.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Enjoys working independently, but likes being apart of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
  • 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus in a business related field is preferred.
