Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Marketing department at our corporate office as a Marketing Intern for the winter months.

 

Location – Corporate, Glenwood Hills – 5540 Glenwood Hills Parkway SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512

Responsibilities

  • Helping develop social media strategies and assisting with the design, development and execution of social media content.

  • Analyzing client audience, competitors, market, and trends to define & execute comprehensive digital strategies across social media channels.

  • Evaluating client and competitor websites and other digital experiences.

  • Assisting in analyzing paid social media strategies. 
  • Assisting with the use of video production equipment including cameras, editing software and more.

  • Assisting in the creation of social media videos for departments within the credit union. 

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of why companies use social media and how it impacts the brand.
  • Have a passion for learning digital marketing channels i.e. SEO, Pay Per Click, Comparison Shopping Engines, Affiliate Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimization, User Experience testing etc.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills; ability to juggle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; creative writing skills are a plus. 
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
  • 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus in Marketing or a related business field. A strong desire to pursue a career in the Marketing field is preferred.
