Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Investment Services department as an Investment Services Intern for the summer months (June 4, 2018 - August 17, 2018).

 

Location – Knapp Branch 2024 Celebration Dr. Grand Rapids, MI 49525 or, East Paris Branch 4050 Lake Drive SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546.  

Responsibilities

The intern will assist and participate with LMIS Financial Advisors, Administrative Assistants, other LMCU departments and client base in all aspects of the department operations, including but not limited to:

  • Account Client Services
  • Networking (both in person, online and phone) with prospective clients, and departments at LMCU.
  • Mastering LPL Client works software and systems.
  • Highly focused on providing customer support and service that exceeds expectations.
  • Excellent writing skills across a variety of formats (Business emails, Client Letters and e-mails, and account opening and maintenance paperwork.

Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, but likes being a part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
  • 3.0 GPA or greater.
  • College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus in a business related field is preferred.
