Position Overview:

 

This role includes the design and production of marketing and advertising materials that meet marketing objectives staying within LMCU brand standards. The Designer reports to the Senior Design Manager and works closely with the Marketing Project Manager, VP Creative Services Marketing, fellow designers, the Senior Copywriter, and business clients to develop and deliver outstanding creative content in a deadline driven environment. The Designer will meet with business clients, listening to their needs, and developing marketing communications solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Artistic Leadership: Serving as LMCU’s artistic resource in support of LMCU’s business units, business priorities, and other Marketing goals. Serving as a Designer on all member-facing materials, developing and producing creative design for print and digital. This includes marketing support materials such as brochures, ads, billboards, posters, brand support materials, promotional items, and campaigns. Managing and maintaining a photo library and digital files for the Marketing department.
  • Brand Management: Manages the brand standard and advocates for LMCU’s brand, internally and externally. Maintains guidelines to keep LMCU’s look unified across all channels.
  • Relationship Management: Consults directly with internal business units, the assigned Account Executive, the Copywriter, and the entire Marketing team to understand Marketing communication goals and objectives, developing solutions and creating compelling and eye-catching concepts and layouts to meet requirements within LMCU’s brand standards, including scheduling and tracking jobs from concept through delivery, and negotiating deadlines and expectations effectively and professionally. 

Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience coupled with a college degree in a related field. 
  • Prior experience working in advertising-marketing agency or in-house creative team.
  • Passion for print design, media, and social content, with a rich portfolio of examples.
  • Ability to take concepts and requests and bring them to life in an exciting way.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office as well as office applications including presentation tools such as PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of Web production and its capabilities within digital channels.
  • Understanding of traditional media and campaigns and the role that social media can play when integrated.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines with strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task between project workloads.
