    Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Compliance department as an BSA Analyst.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete daily analysis of large cash transaction activity, communicate with branch staff, prepare reports for government submission utilizing software tools.
    • Assist branch personnel with analyzing reports where member identification issues are noted. Communicate and document each determination.
    • Analyze transaction data not captured or reviewed within money laundering software.
    • Research, prepare written reports and create detailed documentation of suspect activity identified via money laundering software tools to present to BSA group.
    • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act,
      and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    College degree and 3 years relevant work experience.

    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of Symitar skills, Application Extender/OnBase, Image Center.
    • General knowledge of banking terminology.
    • Strong ability to understand specific BSA/AML, recognize solutions to mitigate risks, and adapt to automation or other changes as implemented.

    • Analytical/Investigative skills to understand expected activity for individual members/ member entities.
