    Lake Michigan Credit Union is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Mortgage department at our corporate office as a Mortgage Set Up Intern for the winter months (January 2019 - April 2019).

     

    Location – Corporate, Glenwood Hills – 4027 Lake Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting mortgage processors with final approvals with ordering payoffs, verifying current employment, updating homeowners insurance, etc.
    • Assisting with mortgage set ups reviewing incoming files for completeness and helping identify any errors. 
    • Assisting with the ordering and follow-up of mortgage appraisals and titles. 
    • Assisting with the mortgage set up inbox responding to emails. 
    • Assisting with all mortgage subordination requests. 
    • Assisting with adding vendor to back off and updating license info

    Qualifications

    • Experienced with using the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Enjoys working independently, but contributing in a team environment.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to perform multiple tasks at one time and is very detail-oriented.
    • 3.0 GPA or greater.
    • College student at freshment, sophmore, junior, senior or master level status or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months with a focus in a business related field.
